One of the best spots to stay in Kuta is at the Poppies Cottages. They're located right in the middle of all the madness of this busy city, but somehow they've managed to tuck themselves away from the noise, hustle and bustle. It's truly a hidden gem.

Poppies Cottages and Pool Bar
Kuta is well known for being the wild tourist town with bumping clubs, tons of shopping, extremely aggressive sales people, crowded beaches, and basically a whole lot of fun. We personally enjoy all of this activity, but in moderation. At most locations in Kuta, your lodging atmosphere will reflect the general feel of the area. With Poppies, you get some breathing space.
You'd never believe that such a tranquil environment can be tucked away right off of the busiest streets in the center of Kuta. It's an immediate transformation from busy city to relaxed resort once you step into Poppies. We find that there's really no better way to enjoy Kuta. Poppies offers a much needed escape from the hyper-activity of Kuta.
Poppies Cottages are relatively plush in comparison to most other Kuta Accommodations.
Poppies is set up with little cottages separated by meandering paths surrounded by lush foliage. The pool area is beautifully manicured and decorated and has a small jacuzzi tucked away next to the pool bar. Everyone at Poppies are extremely pleasant and helpful.
Right out side of the walkway from Poppies Cottages is one of the main Kuta shopping streets that leads down to the water. Poppies is actually set up in 2 different areas. For this page, we're discussing the cottages off of Poppies 1. You can also get a very inexpensive massage only 15 feet away from Poppies entrance.
